ジーザスライフハウスのカンファレンスまで、あと1ヶ月をきりました！！！

来たる４月２９～３０日(水･祝～木)に、今年２回目になるカンファレンスが開催されます！
Jesus Lifehouse will be having it's 2nd conference this April 29th - 30th (Wed-Thu)!!!


去年はヒルソングからブライアン・ヒューストン、ヒルソングUNITED、同じくオーストラリア・ジェネレーションチャーチからアンドリュー・ホイスをゲストスピーカーとして迎え、新宿文化センターで行われました！
Last year we had Pastor Brian Houston & the Hillsong UNITED Team from Hillsong Church, and Pastor Andrew Hoyes from Generation Church, all from Australia, as special guests.

今年はアメリカ・バージニアビーチにあるWave Churchから
スティーブン・ケリー牧師を招く他、JLH Tokyoの主任牧師、ロド・プラマーが
日本の教会、次世代のクリスチャンリーダーに向けて熱いメッセージを届けてくれます。
This year Pastor Steve Kelly has been confirmed as our special guest for the JLH Conference 2009, and our senior Pastor Rod Plummer will also share his passion for the Japanese Church and for next generation Christian leaders!!!

This year's conference is going to go off!!! It's going to be stellar!!

日曜日に忙しくてチャーチにこれない人、土曜の夜に何か楽しいことをしたい人にとって最高の時間になります～！
This is a great oppourtunity for everyone who are busy and can't come to church on Sundays, or who wants to hang out with your/new friends and just wanna have fun!!!

Mika's Story ミカちゃんのストーリー！

「クリスチャンとして生きるには理由がある」　
”There's a reason to live life as a Christian”

クリスチャンはみんなそれぞれ、どのようにして神様に出会いその人生が変えられていったのかストーリーを持っています。そこにはその人の生きた体験があり、この証を通して私たちがなぜ神様を愛していきたいと思ったのか、そのキッカケをかいま見ることができます☆
Christians have their own story how they got to know God and how their lives have been changed by Him. Through their you will be able to see the reason why they want to love Him.

今回はとってもチャーミングな大学生、みかちゃんがどうやってクリスチャンになったかを紹介します☆
Today, I'll post Mika's story here. She's university student and is so charming :)

こんにちは！　Hello everyone!

ミカと言います。　 I'm Mika!

私は幼稚園から高校まで、ずっとカトリックの学校に通っていました。
From preschool to high school I went to a catholic school.

なので、ミサも毎週あって、食事の前には必ずお祈り、そういった生活を15年間続けていました。
So I attended a church service every week and I always prayed before every meal. I had this kind of lifestyle for 15 years.

しかし、卒業した去年の春、私の頭にあったのは、
But, when I graduated high school last spring, all I had in mind was

「バイバイ～イエス様～！」　"Good bye Jesus!"

そう、完全にこの”宗教”をなめていました。
Apparently, I was totally taking this “Jesus” as just a religion.

その頃の私を思い出すと、ひたすら愛というものに飢えていたと感じます。
When I think back to that time now, I know I was emotionally starving for love.

誰からの、どんな形のものであろうと貪欲に欲していました。
I didn't care where or who it was from, I was searching for love.

しかし結局振り返って思うことは 私が本当に求めていたそれとは？ ということ。
But what was this love that I was really seeking for?

そして、去年の秋ごろ、テスという素敵な女性が私にＪＬＨを紹介してくれました。
In Autumn last year, an amazing woman named Tess took me to Jesus Lifehouse.

東京の冷静な空気に慣れきっていた私には、足を踏み入れた瞬間に伝わってきた人、場所の温かさにはっきりと胸の痛みを覚えました。
I was so used to a cold and secluded way of living in Tokyo, so when I set foot in the church, it was so warm and loving that I even felt a pain in my heart.

その頃、これまでになく日々をどん底だと感じていた私には、それほどの衝撃であり、ここに来たのは運命だと感じました。
It was such an impact for me because I was in the depth of despair and I felt I was brought here for a reason that day.

そして教会に自然と足が向き、毎週通っていると、五感が豊かになっていくのを感じたのです。
It was natural for me to continue going to church. And every week as I kept going, I felt all my senses coming alive.

音楽から、　Through the music,

言葉から、　Through words,

人の表情から、　Through peoples faces

会場の一体感から、　and through the atmosphere in the church,

 
優しく力強いエネルギーが緊張で凝り固まった私の心を癒していくのを感じ、
I felt this warm and strong power healing my hardened heart.

何よりも “教会はただ神様と人々、そして人々と神様だ。”
“Church is all about God and people, people and God.”

という事実をそのまま現実にしたような、ＪＬＨのフレンドリーで元気なメンバーを見ることによって今まで10何年となおざりにしてきていた神様の存在をただ自然と受け入れることができました。
As I saw the friendly JLH members practicing this simple truth, I couldn't help but to accept God into my life even though it was so difficult for me over the last 10 years.

そしてほどなく、神は愛である、と同時に私たちの愛は神ではないということを知りました。
Once I accepted Him in my life, I understood that God is Love and our own love is not like God’s love.

さまざまな形の気まぐれな人間の感情より先に無償の神様の愛を受け取っている、私が求めていた愛とはまさにそれだったのだと感じました。
Our love is shaped and deformed in many ways depending on our feelings but God’s love is always there before everything had even started. And he is giving this love to us. I realized that this was the love I was longing for.

様々なところから今もプレッシャーを感じている自分がいます。
I still find myself feeling the pressure from things and situation around me.

しかし、それに前向きに向かっていこうと感じている自分もいます。
But I'm willing keep pressing forward in whatever circumstances.

それはキリスト教を一宗教と捉えていたあの頃の自分が覆されたから。
Because I was changed from thinking Christianity as “just a religion” to “Real Life”.

また、絶え間ない愛を、仲間を、いつでも戻ってこられる場所があるということを実感できたから。
And I found this never ending love, my precious friends and the place I can always come back to.

今度は私が誰かのキリスト教の概念を裏返しにする番です。
So it is my turn now to go and change someone's concept of Christianity.

そして、ＪＬＨを通して沢山のことを学びながら、神様と人生を歩んで行こうと思っています。
And I want to keep learning and growing through this church and walk this life hand in hand with God.

しばらくブログの更新ができませんでした（>_<）ごめんね。最近カゼがこじれてしまってやすむ時間が必要でした。。。

まだひどいセキが続いてつらいけど、神様がすぐに癒してくれるって信じてます！！！

こうやって体調崩してると、つくづく健康って神様からのプレゼントなんだなって実感する。

私たちの身の回りにあるものって「あるのがあたりまえ」に感じるけど、あたりまえじゃないんだよね！

毎日こうして生かされていること、ごはんが食べられてること、寝られる場所があること・・

全部神様が私たちのために用意してくれてるんだよね！

感謝だね☆☆

JLH Cafe ＪＬＨカフェ♪

ジーザスライフハウスにはオリジナルのカフェ、その名もジーザスライフハウスカフェがあります☆

Jesus Lifehouse has it's original cafe called "Jesus Lifehouse Cafe"!!!

ジーザスライフハウスカフェは、チャーチのパスターのひとり、竜太さんの妹のＹっしーのアツい想いとビジョンによって始まりました！
Jesus Lifehouse Cafe has been started by Y, who is younger sister of our Pastor, Ryuta, with her passion and full of vision.

当初はスターバックスのコーヒーを売っていたんだけど、カフェチームのメンバーも増え、みんなのビジョンもどんどん大きくなり、、、そしてついに！
At that time, we were serving Starbucks Coffee. As the cafe team got more members and their vision got bigger, and finally...!!!

去年からジーザスライフハウスのオリジナルコーヒーが発売されることになったんだ！！
We started to sell our very original coffee since the last year!!!

コーヒー好きをもうならせる最高の味だそうな・・・☆
They say that JLH cafe's coffee is the best.....;)

チャーチのメインホールとは違う建物の８Ｆにカフェラウンジがあります！
The cafe is located on the 8F floor in the different building from the church main hall.

基本的にオープンは各礼拝が終了後～みんなでおいしい飲み物と無料のお菓子をつまみながら、なごやかなひとときを過ごせる最高の場所です♪
Opens basically after every church services. This is the best place to have fellowship time with your friends, with your best drinks and some free snacks!!

カフェはいつも人でいっぱい！！！
The cafe has always full of people!!!


メニューもいくつかあって、選べます！
They serves several kinds of coffees, so you can choose for your favorite one!!

コーヒーが飲めない私にとって、ココアがあるのがポイント高し！！笑
（ちなみにこのココア、絶妙な甘さでおいしいんだよ～～～！本当に！）
Since I can't drink coffee at all, it was such a good news that they had hot chocolates!!!
(And tell you that, this hot chocolate is the BEST ever!!!! seriously!!!!)

Our cafe staffs are all our church congregations!!! They are willing to work for JLH cafe as a volunteer, and they all enjoy it!!!! I'm sure you'll fell something warm, different from any other cafes!!!

When you are sick 具合が悪いときは

どうやらカゼひいちゃったみたいです・・・・・（>_<）
It seemed I got sick......

今朝起きたときからなんか体がだるいし、頭も働かないなぁ～～って思ってたら
I wasn't feeling good since the morning, and I couldn't really think of anything, then.....

昼過ぎから熱っぽくなり、
My fever rose quickly in the afternoon.

体中が痛くなり
I feel pain all parts of my body

立つのも座るのもしんどくなり
It took so much energy to keep myself standing up or even sitting down

しゃべるのもままならくなり
I couldn't even talk as usual

熱のせいで涙目になり
Tears came out because of the fever...

やっとの思いで帰ってきて、体温計で熱を測ったら、「３７．９℃」
（私の平熱は３６．４℃前後）
Finally I came back home and took a temperture; the thermometer
said my temperture was "37.9℃"
(My normal body temperature is around 36.4℃).

体が弱ってるときって気持ちもブルーになりがちだけど、そんなときこそ神様に祈る。
You know, when we are sick we can easily get depressed. I pray when my emotion go down.

「ジーザスの名によってすぐに癒されると信じます！アーメン！！！」

"I'll be healed in Jesus's name, AMEN!!!!"

って。

そう宣言すると不思議と重いものが体から取れた感じになるんだよね。
Then some heaviness in my body was taken away.

今日はもう体が休息を求めてるので、大したことは書かないけど
I'm not gonna write a lot coz my body really needs some rest right now....

カゼが流行っているこんなときだからこそ、みんなに伝えたい！！
I wanna tell everyone coz many people are suffering  from the flu or any other sickness.....

「神様がついてるよ！！！！」

"God is with you!!!!"

みんなも体調悪くてどうしようもなくしんどいときはイエスの名と共に祈ってみてください。
If you got sick and are unbelievably feeling bad, just pray in Jesus' name.

このみことばをシェアして寝ます。
I'll share this scripture and go to bed now.

「病気になると、神様はご自身が看護にあたり、痛みをやわらげ、心配事を取り去って下さるのです。」

"Whenever we're sick and in bed, God becomes our nurse, nurses us back to health."

いま体調を壊してる全ての人の為に祈ってます！！！
I'm praying for all the people who are fighting with sickness!!!

先週のビッグウェンズデーでは、竜太さんが「コミュニケーション」について話してくれました！
Last week at BIG WEDNESDAY, Ps Ryuta spoke about "Communication"!

すんごい興味深い内容だったし、ためになるからメッセージの内容をシェアするね！！
It was very intersting and I'm sure it's inspiring message for everybody so let me write about it!!

私たちはいつもコミュニケーションをとっている。
We are always communicating.

相手の好き・嫌いに関わらず、私たちは毎日誰かしらと関わりを持っている。
Whether we like or not, we are connecting with somebody everyday.

「コミュニケーションなしでは、一人旅になるだろう」－ジョン・マックスウェル
"Without it you travel alone" - John Maxwell

いまの日本の若者は自分でコミュニケーションをとれない世代になっている。
Many of young Japanese generation are struggling on communicating with others.

誰かが自分に声をかけてくれるのを待っていたり、相手から何か言われない限り行動できなかったり思っていることを表現できなかったり・・・
People waiting for somebody who talks to them, or they can't take action or express themselves unless somebody tell them to do so....

それではダメ！！ You can't be like that!!!

「よい人は、その心のよい倉からよい物を出し、悪い人は、悪い倉から悪いものを出します。なぜなら人の口は、心に満ちているものを話すからです。」

- そこで、コミュニケーション能力と表現力を高めるための５つのポイントをシェア！
- So, here's the 5 points of how to improve your communications and expressions!!

１．内側を鍛える　Work on the inner "you"

コミュニケーション能力を高めるにはまず内側から！
If you want to improve your communication skills, you need to work on the inside first.

ＰＣがうまくしっかり働いてくれるのは、内側の処理能力が発達しているから。
Computer works well because its inside is developed.

私たちがより高いコミュニケーション能力を発揮するには、最高のものを内側にいれておく必要がある。
If we want to develop our communication skills, we need to put something better inside of us.

それがイエスの存在なのです！ That's why we need Jesus!!

ジーザス－神様の愛を最高に再現した存在
Jesus - God's greatest demonstration of Love

もしコミュニケーションの達人になりたかったら、イエスを受け入れてその模範に見習おう！
If you want to be a better communicator - accept Jesus in your heart and learn from his love!!!

（ルカ　１１：３５－３６）
「だから、あなたのうちの光が、暗やみにならないように気をつけなさい。もし、あなたの全身が明るくて何の暗い部分もないなら、その全身はちょうどあかりが輝いて、あなたを照らすときのように明るく輝きます。」

２．外側も整える　Then work on your outside

（箴言　１０：３２－オリジナル訳）
「正しい者の言葉は環境（雰囲気）を良くし、悪者の言葉は環境を汚染する。」

(Proverbs 10:32)
"The speech of a good person clears the air; the words of the wicked pollute it."

外側を整えるとは Work on your outside means：

- 笑顔でいること　Smile　
- ポジティブな言葉　Speak positively
- 情熱の表現法　Express passion
- 服装　Dress better
- 自信を持って立ち歩むこと　Stand and walk with confidence
- そして人生を楽しむこと　Enjoy Life

人の第一印象は見た目によって決まるっていうくらい、外側は超大事！！
Outside is soooooo important as it is said that people's first impression determine with their outside!!

内側をピカピカに磨いたら、ありのままの思いを外に表現していこう！！
After you polish your inside, express it to the outside!!!

３．聞き上手になる　Be a good listener

自分が話すよりもまず相手が思っていることをよく聞いてあげること。質問を通して話を引き出してあげる。
Listen carefully more what people think, than you talk. Lead the comversation through the questions.

ただ、心の中で思っていることと実際に話すことが違う人もいるので気をつける必要がある。相手の話を全て信じるのではなく、顔の表情やしぐさ、状況などを全て踏まえて相手が本当は何を伝えようとしているのかを見つけ出そう。
You have to be careful as there's people who talk something different from what they think inside. Instead of believing everything that you heard, find out what they really want to tell seeing their faces, actions, and their situations.

４．メッセージをシンプルにする　Simplify your message

いい教師というのは、難しい話を簡単にして生徒に教える。
Good teacher make complicated message simple.

聞いた誰もがわかるように、相手に伝えたいことをシンプルにしよう。
Simplify what you want to tell so that everyone can understand your message.

「働きすぎると眠れなくなり、しゃべりすぎると頭の悪い人だと思われる。」

５．話している相手の立場や状況を考える　Care about the person whom you are talking to

これは相手のニーズを先読みしてあげること。一体何を求めているのか察知してあげること。
Understand what their needs are and realize what they are seeking for.

また、相手が喜ぶことをしてあげること。 And do what makes people happy.

「悪いことばを、いっさい口から出してはいけません。だた、必要なとき、人の徳を養うのに役立つことばを話し、聞く人に恵みを与えなさい。」

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of you mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

FOOT PRINTS -あしあと-

今日はある詩を紹介します！ I'll introduce a poem today!!!

これは私のブログのタイトルにもなっている「FOOT PRINTS（あしあと）」と呼ばれる詩です。前のブログでも紹介したことがあるのですが、ここであらためてシェアしたいと思います。
The title is "FOOT PRINTS". I have introduced this at my former blog, but I feel like I want you to read this again!!

これは１年半くらい前にあるアメリカ人の友人からもらった詩で、初めて読んだときものすごく感動したことを今でも覚えています。新しくブログをスタートするにあたってタイトルを考えていたときに、この詩のことが頭に浮かびました。
One of my American friend shared this with me about 1.5 years ago. I still remember that I was so touched when I first read this. My blog title is same as this for this poem came into my mind when I was thinking of a new title for my new blog(current blog).

日本語訳は私がしました。なのでプロじゃないですが・・・・雰囲気は伝わると思います！
I translated in Japanese on this blog. I'm not a professional, translator, so just enjoy my translation!! (If you try to read in Japanese as well.)

-FOOTPRINTS　あしあと- (UNKNOWN　作者：不明)

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.

（ある夜、男は夢をみた。その夢の中で、男はビーチを神様と共に歩いていた。空を横切っていくたびに、男の人生に起こったいろんな場面がよみがえってきた。その場面場面で、砂に二足の足跡が残っていることに気がついた。ひとつは男の、もうひとつは神様のものであった。）

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

（最後の場面が目の前に広がったとき、男は振り返って砂に残った足跡を見つめた。すると彼が長い時間かけて歩いてきたその道筋には、そこにはただ一足の足跡しかなかったことに気がついた。またそのときが最もつらく悲しいときだったことに気がついた。）

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

（男はこれに疑問を抱き、主にこのことをたずねた。）

"Lord, you said that once I deceided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the time. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

（主よ、あなたはおっしゃったじゃないですか。わたしがあなたについていくと決めたそのときから、あなたは私のそばにいて共に歩いてくれると。しかし気がついたら、私が人生で最も大変な状況に置かれているとき、そこには一足の足跡しかなかった。なぜあなたは私が最も必要としていたときにそばにいてくださらなかったのですか？）

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you; During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

（主はお答えになった。『私の愛しい愛しい子よ、私はあなたを愛しているし、決してあなたの元を離れはしない。あなたが苦しんでいたそのときみた一足の足跡は、私があなたを背負って歩いていたからなんだよ。』）

今日もイベントのご案内です☆ Let me announce another exciting event ;)

今回は、ジーザスライフハウスのママさんとキッズの為のイベント、「東京マムズ」を紹介します！
Today I'd like to introduce "Tokyo Mums" which is a group for Mums and Kids surpported by Jesus Lifehouse.

東京マムズは月に１回渋谷の東京都児童館というところで集まって、ママとキッズのためにいろんなお話や楽しい遊びをしています☆
They meet at Metropolitan Children's Hall once a month. They have singing and storytime and lot of fun activities.

たくさんのママのお友達ができますし、クリスチャンのママさんからためになるお話も聞けますよ！
You'll get lots of mum friends! And there's chance to hear some good story from Christian mums!!

もしあなたがママならぜひ一度足を運んでみてくださいね☆またママのお友達を知っていたらぜひ教えてあげてください♪
If you are Mum, I strongly recommend you to go visit them! Even if you are not mum but know somebody who are mums, let them know this event!!

This is your invitation to join us at the Tokyo Mums' March event.

It is on Tuesday 10th March, starting at 10:30am, in the Shibuya Metropolitan Children's Hall, meeting on Level B1. (Exit 13A or 13 from Shibuya Station).

We will have singing and storytime for the children in English. We are planning to collect　recipe ideas for baby and kids food/snacks to make a "Tokyo Mums' Book of Recipes" .

This Tuesday we will have our first contribution- so don't miss out.

We will also hear a great message about "How to have a happy marriage".

ENGLISH CLUB!!!

英語を勉強したい人、英語で会話したい人に耳よりなおしらせ！！！

毎月隔週（第１、第３、第５）の金曜日の夜に、高田馬場で英会話のサークルやっています！

「ENGLISH CLUB」

このクラブは、ジーザスライフハウスのユースチームが企画・運営しています！主に大学生～２０代前半くらいまでの人向けで、
ネイティブの外国人と楽しみながら英語を学んでいってもらおうと集まっています！

去年から始まったこのクラブ、いま超アツい！！！私も友達を連れて前回初めて行ってきました！！

駅の近くのファーストフードショップでやってきます！ついたらまず適当に席について、一緒の席のコたちとチャット☆

どこの席にも英語がネイティブの外国人が１～２人はつきます！
みんな同世代で、新しい人と出会うのが大好きな人たちばかりだからとても話しやすいよ！

おしゃべりしてなごんたところで、本格スタート！毎週トピックが決まっていて、そのトピックに関連した質問を英語で答えていく形式！

この時間中は原則日本語禁止！！英語で話すことが目的のクラブなので、みんながんばって英語で話します！完璧である必要はないよ！片言でもいい。「話したい！伝えたい！」って気持ちを実行することが英語上達の秘訣☆

でも、全く英語がわからない・話せないという人には英語が得意な日本人の友達がサポートしてくれるから、英語力ゼロから参加することも可能だよ！

Let's make SOAP! -event report :) せっけん作ろう！イベントレポ

先週の土曜日に、ジーザスライフハウスウィメン主催のイベントがありました☆
Last Saturday, we had an event held by Jesus Lifehouse Women :)

ジーザスライフハウス・ウィメンは、女性のためのミニストリー。
Jesus Lifehouse Women is a ministry for women.

楽しくリラックスした雰囲気の中でみんなで同じ時間を過ごしながら、女性として生まれてきた喜びや本当の意味を知ってもらいたい、そう願いながら毎月１回、様々なイベントを行っています！
We organize exciting events once a month. We hope all of women to know the true purpose of life and the true joy in the fun, relaxed atmosphere.   

２００９年初のイベントとなった今回は、「イイ女は地球に優しい」をテーマに手作りのせっけん作りをしました！
This is the first event for 2009, we made SOAP feat. the theme"Great Women Go Green!"

まずはウェルカムアナウンス～ Started from the welcome announcement!!!

そして今回のイベントをリードしてくれた、さえちゃんにマイクバトンタッチ！せっけんの作り方をさっそく教えてもらいました☆
Saeko taught us how to make soap!!! She was working hard to organize this soap making event!!

ここでも作り方を紹介するね！とっても簡単なので、ぜひ作ってみて！！
I'll write how to make soap!!! It's pretty easy, so if you have time(and interest), please try!!!

（材料 － MATERIALS）

- 石鹸素地　７０g　
- 精製水　少し
- アロマオイル（５～７滴）
- お好みでキャリアオイル

- 70grams soap materials(powder)
- Purified water
- Aroma oils (5-7 drops)
- Carrier oils (if you like)

（作り方 － HOW TO MAKE）

１．ビニール袋にいれた石鹸素地をもんで、細かくする。
　　Put the soap material in a plastic bag, squash it with your hand to make the material smaller pieces.

２．精製水を少しいれてよくもむ。これを繰り返し耳たぶくらいの硬さにする。
　　Add purify water little by little and squash. Repeat it until the soap material becomes as soft as your earlobe. 

３．（お好みで）キャリアオイルをティースプーン一杯弱入れてよくこねる。
　　(If you like) Add a tea spoon of carrier oil in the bag, and squeeze again.

４．好きなアロマオイルを５-７滴ほど入れる（複数種類のアロマオイルを入れたい場合は合計で５－７滴）
　　Add your favorite aroma oil in the bag. It can be several kinds but the amount should be no more than 7 drops, preferably 5 to 7 drops. Then squeeze again to mix them with the material evenly.

５．まんべんなくまわるようによくこねる
　　Squeeze the material well.

６．取り出して形を作る
　　Take the soap out and create any shape you like!

じゃーん！どうスベスベじょうずにできたでしょ～！・・・へへ、実は既製品でした ;P

ところで、みんなは「変化すること」が好きかな？
By the way, do you like to change?!

世の中は日々変化している。今は新しいものも明日には古くなっている。ハヤりの服やくつも、今はカッコイイものが来年には流行遅れになっている。

How can we change then.................so!!!

●変わるための３つの法則！（ヨハネ５章より）
　Three Keys on Change!!!(from John Chapter 5)

１．私達自身が変わりたいと決断しなければならない。
　　We must decide if we want to be changed?

（ヨハネ５：６）
イエスは彼が伏せっているのを見、それがもう長い間のことなのを知って、彼に言われた。「よくなりたいか。」

(John 5:6)
"When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?""

ここでイエスは、病人に「よくなりたいか？」と意思を確認した。「何当たり前なこと聞いてるの？？」変な質問に思うかもしれない。
Jesus asked a man who has got a trouble with his body if he want to be healed. You might think "that's weird question, of course he wants to!!!!"

しかしここで本人の意思をしっかりと確認するのは彼が癒しを受けるには必要なことだった。
But, it was the important question to confirm if he really hopes to be healed or not.

なぜなら・・・癒しを受けたとき、その病人が置かれていた環境が変わるからだ。それまでは周りの人からサポートを受けて得てきたものが、自分で働いて得なければいけなくなるからだった。
Because......when he was healed, his surroundings will be completely changed. Until then, he could receive every support that people gave.......but once he got well, he has to work by himself to get everything that he need.

癒しを受け、新しい人生をスタートする覚悟が本当にあるのか、本当に変わりたいのかをイエスは確認したのだ。
Jesus asked him if he really want to be changed - receive the healing from God, to start his new life walking on his feet.

ここで大事なのは、私たちが「本当に今の状況から脱して、変わりたいのか？」と自分自身に問うこと。
Here's the point: we also need to ask ourselves that if we really want to get out of the current situation to make us change.

変化に伴う犠牲を払ってでもあなたは次のレベルに進みたいか。
Are you willing to pay the price to go to the next level?

２．言い訳するのをやめる　We must stop making excuses.

（ヨハネ５：７）
病人は答えた。「主よ。私には、水がかき回されたとき、池の中に私を入れてくれる人がいません。行きかけると、もうほかの人が先に降りて行くのです。」

(John 5:7)
""Sir,"the invalid replied,"I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.""

言い訳は私たちの変化を止めてしまう。
Excuses stops us being changed.

例えば、いつも時間に遅れてきてしまう人がいたとする。そのような人はたいがい遅れる理由を言ってくる。「電車が遅れた」「他の人に呼び止められて、時間通りに出られなかった」「具合が悪かった」などなど。
For example there's someone who is always late for the time. That kind of person always makes excuses such as "Train was late", "I couldn't leave the office on time because my coworker asked me for XXXX.", "I wasn't feeling well/I was sick."etc...

結局その人はその言い訳の中に自分の逃げ道を見つけて、自分の癖を改善することができないままでいるのである。
If that person keep making excuses for every situation that he faced on, he can't overcome his habit as he is always try to escape from the problem.

自分ができないことに対してできない言い訳を並べていては私たちはいつまでたってもそれを克服することができない。なぜなら言い訳は「できない」ことを正当化しているようなものだから。
If we just making excuses about what we can't do, we will not be able to overcome the matter, because that

神様は私たちにできなかったことに対して責任を取ってほしいと思っている。
God wants us to take responsibilities against what we have done/ what we couldn't do.

何かに失敗したときは、言い訳をするのではなく素直に、「ごめんなさい」と謝り、同じ事を繰り返さないように克服していこう。
If you failed or did something wrong, just say "I'm sorry" instead of making excuses.

３．変化に対応できているかを決めなければならない
　　We must decide whether we are ready to respond.

（ヨハネ５：８－９）
イエスは彼に言われた。「起きて、床を取り上げて歩きなさい。」すると、その人はすぐに直って床を取り上げて歩き出した。ところが、その日は安息日だった。

(John 5:8-9)
"Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk."At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath."

私たちが変わっていくためには、その変化に対応できる状態にあるのかを確かめる必要がある。
We need to confirm if we are ready to respond the change.

また、変化の妨げになってしまうようなものは思い切って手放す必要がある。
Also, we have to give up something that avoids to let us change.

私たちがバックスライドしてしまうキッカケとなるようなものは思い切って切り捨てていこう。
Cut off the all opportunities to go back.

いまいる環境が心地よいものであればあるほどに変化していくのは大変。時には痛みも伴う。
It is hard to make a change if you are in a confort zone. Sometimes change causes some pain.

しかし、変化するために前に進んでいった先にはいま与えられている以上の報酬が私たちを待っている。
However, when you change, you will receive the rewards more than you are given now!!!

みんなは、変化する準備ができていますか？！

Atsu's Testiminy!! アツの証！

「クリスチャンとして生きるには理由がある」　
”There's a reason to live life as a Christian”

クリスチャンはみんなそれぞれ、どのようにして神様に出会いその人生が変えられていったのかストーリーを持っています。そこにはその人の生きた体験があり、この証を通して私たちがなぜ神様を愛していきたいと思ったのか、そのキッカケをかいま見ることができます☆
Christians have their own story how they got to know God and how their lives have been changed by Him. Through their you will be able to see the reason why they want to love Him.

今回はついこの昨日の土曜日の西東京サービスでシェアしてくれた、JLHのスーパードラマー・あっちゃんことアツの証を紹介します☆
Today I'll introduce Atsu, Jesus Lifehouse's super drummer's testimony!!!! (This testimony is shared at 5minutes of Testimony at last night's West Tokyo Service.)

I love my life, and seeing everyone smile. My days keep getting more and more exciting everyday. My life is so exciting that I'd offer to give up my seat to random people in the train so I can also make them feel good.
僕は自分の人生が大好きで、みんなの笑顔を見るのも大好きだ。毎日ますますエキサイティングになっていってる。どのくらい興奮してるかって言うと、電車の中で見知らぬ人に自分の座っていた席を譲ってあげたいくらい。そしたら席を譲られた人もいい気分になるでしょ。

But it hasn't always like that for me. When I was 17, I was really confused about life.
でも以前の生活は今のようなものではなかった。僕は１７のとき、すごく人生について悩んでいた。

I was in America playing in a high school rock band. I was just jamming it out with my friends on my bass guitar and drums. I had everything - the friends, the food, the glory, the fans... we had about 10 people coming to our live shows every week.
僕はその時アメリカにいて、高校生バンドの中で演奏していた。ドラムやベースを弾きながらただただ友達と遊んでいただけだった。僕には友達、食べ物、栄光、ファン・・・すべてがあった。僕たちのショーを毎週のように観に来てくれる人が１０人くらいはいた。

Even then, something was missing. Everyday seemed like the same old routine. No matter how much fun I'd have, I was never satisfied. I needed something that would truly satisfy me in life.
それでもなお、何かが欠けていた。毎日が単調で同じことの繰り返しのようだった。どんなに楽しいことをしていても決して満足することはなかった。僕には自分の人生を本当の意味で満足させてくれる何かが必要だった。

So, I'd look up the meaning of life...on the internet. I'd look up some religions. All I found was some rules and weird traditions - wearing strange looking hats on holidays, making pottery in festivals, jumping off a cliff so we can meet some angle when you're in a coma.
それで、人生の意味をインターネットで調べることにした。いくつかの宗教もみつけた。ただそこで見つけたのはいくつかの決まりごとだとか、変な習慣－変な見た目の帽子を休みの日にかぶったりだとか、お祭りの日に陶器を作ったりだとか、がけを飛び降りればこん睡状態に陥ったときに天使にあえるだとか。

Yeah, that obviously sounds like the truth...or not.
まぁ、真実のような、、、そうじゃないような。

So, after all the research and confusion, I just gave up.
それで、リサーチをした末にもっと混乱に陥り、最終的に探すことを諦めた。
 

And what made me even more confused was, that very night, another one of my friend that's a Christian came up to me, and told me if I prayed to Jesus, he'll give me the real meaning of life.
さらに自分を混乱させた出来事があった。ある夜、あるクリスチャンの友達がやってきて、僕がイエスに祈ったら僕に人生の本当の意味を与えてくれると言ったんだ。

I was just too tired of life and I didn't care anymore. I would try anything that would give me some peace in my heart.
僕はもう人生に疲れきっていたから、もう何が何だろうと気にもしなくなっていた。自分の心に平安をくれるものなら何でもやってやろう、そんな思いだった。

I went in my room that night and prayed to Jesus. I said, "I don't know who you are but if you can really give me the meaning of life, then show it to me!"
その夜、僕は自分の部屋にいって、イエスに祈った。「あなたが誰だか知らないけど、もしあんたが僕に人生の本当の意味をくれるっていうなら、それを見せてくれ！」

At that moment, I felt this warmness and peace I'd never felt in my life. My life felt refreshed and I felt like I wanted to hug somebody... at 1AM in the morning.
その瞬間、私はそれまでに一度も感じたことがなかったようなあったかさと平安を感じた。まるで自分の人生が一掃されたようで、夜中の１時なのにも関わらず誰かを抱きしめたくなるような、、、そんなあったかさと安らぎを感じた。

All that happened in what seemed like a moment, but Jesus really turned my life around. I started reading the Bible, and I realized he's not just some myth or a historical person. He is THE God who created us. And he's got distant, he's living and he wants to be our friend and a father. Loves us, and provides all we ever need, and more!
すべてが一瞬にして起こったかのようではあったが、イエスは僕の人生を１８０度変えてくれた。僕は聖書を読み始めるようになり、イエスがただの神話とか歴史上の人物ではないということに気がついた。彼こそが僕達を造ってくれた”神”だ。彼は、彼は生きていて僕達の友達、そして父親になりたいと思ってる。僕達のことを愛していて、僕達が必要なもの全て、いやそれ以上のものを与えてくれる。

I believe one of the biggest thing he's provided me is a family. This Jesus Lifehouse church is the family. I have friends who has the same value as me, and who encourages me when I'm having a hard time. I've got people who's honest and cares enough to tell me the truth if I'm doing something wrong.
僕がイエスから与えられた一番おっきなものの一つは家族だと僕は信じている。ジーザスライフハウスチャーチのみんなは家族だ。そこには自分と同じ価値観を持った友達がいるし、自分が困難な状況にあるとき、励ましてくれる存在がいる。何か間違ったことをやろうとしているときに正直になって真実を教えてくれ、気にかけてくれる人々がいる。

God's given me a true sense of direction in my life. And I wanna share that with as many people as I can.
神様は僕の人生の中に正しい方向を示してくれた。そして、僕自身、それをできるだけたくさんの人に伝えていきたいと思ってる。

I wanna say, don't be afraid of what God showing you. He might be big and seem crazy at times but he's not scary. You'll never go wrong when you meet him and ask him to come into your heart...
僕は言いたい。神様があなたに見せようとしてくれているものを恐れないで。それはおっきくて時にクレイジーのように思えるかもしれないけど、怖くはない。あなたが神様に出会いあなたの心の中に入ってきてほしいとたずねたとき、決して間違った方向には行かないから。

Philippians 4:6 (The Message)
"Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."

ピリピ　４：６
「何事も心配してはなりません。むしろ、どんなことでも祈りなさい。神様にお願いしなさい。そして、祈りに答えてくださる神様に感謝するのを忘れてはなりません。そうすれば、人間の理解をはるかに超えた、すばらしい神様の平安を経験できます。イエス・キリストに頼る時、その平安は、あなたがたの心と思いとを静め、安らかにしてくれるのです。」
